The goal of the house was to leave the kitchen separate from the living room, but continuously connected to it. Through a porthole the two rooms look at each other and, while remaining independent, a united experience is achived. The vertical rhythm of the slats emphasizes the wall that divides them. The same motif returns in the bedroom, with a wardrobe hidden behind the bed.
