hypogeum arena

Working on the edges of the built-up areas in Foggia, the project needs an urban design able to seem mimetic, but at the same time correspond with a significant material mark in the landscape. The hypogeum system is justified by the necessity for integration with the stark horizontality of the landscape.

The arena visual impact is almost nullified as the roof patternis managed as a great square/ cretto, whose blocks perform as seats and skylight for the gym below.
